a few questions I'm curious about with mara, when you originally designed her, she was meant to be full lesbian from my understanding, when did that change? also, a title you give her in her reference picture is 'amnesiac' what did she forget? and how did that happen?

Things changed a bit when I went over her character again- she originally had runes across her forehead which were cast on her to ensure she doesn't remember her former life- who she was, where she came from, family and friends, etc.

However, I eventually didn't like those runes and removed them and just left it at "they brainwashed her and made her spread their agenda" instead. Which she does, but at the same time is no longer blatantly hostile towards all males - especially if she can further her own goals or gain certain benefit that way (manipulating them into paying for her expenses, then sneaking off or finding some other way to leave her promises unfulfilled), which she does quite a bit, even tho it falls flat with Jake and others.
She still has no idea who she actually is, aside from just "Mara", but the rest of her memories are just...hidden in the back of her mind, and will only come back when she finds clues to her past (which she does eventually while scavenging a foreign flying ship wreckage).

In the end, I'd have to blame one of my close friends for heavily shipping Mara and Jake constantly, that I ended up liking that pairing myself.
