I think the outline works well, because otherwise a lot of the edge detail is lost. Perhaps if it were a softer outline, though still there, it could look even better than it does?

Yeah I like this one. Black lines on the other one don't make it look to good in my opinion when compared to this one.

Actually, I think somewhere between the two, the lack of lines on this make it blend into the background too much.
The dark lines on the other though ar a bit too much.

I'm saying it looks great without lines. For I use lines for I can't make my colours keep the shape the lines hold like you did here.

In my opinion this one blends too much and the other one the lines seem to be too dark. But the best out of the 2 would be this one.

I... actually had to look at both of them for a while before I could decide which I liked better (not like I'm complaining... who wouldn't want to look at such a well done piece as this? ^_^)

In the end, I think I prefer this one over the one with the lines, though my original inclination was towards the other. Perhaps, as FoxBolt has said before me, if you were to go with something in between the two? Where you have the lines (maybe not in the tail... just a thought), but they're more subdued than they are in the original post, and I think it'd be perfect.

Though it would be a tough struggle to beat this, anyway

I'd have to say, the lines of light are more accurate. Than 'black lined' Still both are good.

I like this one more because you would naturally see the shining of the fur from the bright sun. Plus she is around water so that would just create more shine to the fur from the water droplets.

This one is better simply on the realistic value. As how the sun works how i t should when it comes to your tail. In the other it has that black outline that detracts from the beauty of the picture and really throws off the angle you are trying to produce. Stick with this one, it feels more correct in what you are going for.

ok, this get's kinda confusing, for the fact that some places it looks good with outlines, while other places don't look good with outlines..... *confused* -_-
