Today, I kind of decided to try making a dirty model for Damien in Blender 3D. That way I have a better idea for what his body proportions and whatnot will look like. But after a while, I've been kind of thinking of doing one thing with the dirty mode. And I'm probably gonna commit the greatest sin a novice animator will EVER do, and try using 3D models to help with 2D animation.
I know, I know, I'm probably going to animation hell for stating that, because nearly EVERYONE in the animation community only wants hand drawn animation. And they're most likely gonna riot because I dare to use 3D models in ANY capacity for animating. But just for a minute, please hear me out for a sec.
The 3D models will only be used to help with posing and animating. So in a way, they'd act as a kind of rough animation. Whereas the hand drawn animation will be from rough animation 2.0 to the finished product. And considering that this will help quell my demons that want me to use Blender 3D in some way, I'd take it as a win-win situation.
Plus, nobody is gonna see the whole process, just the finished product. (Even though people will know how I made it.)
