Finally got this piece cast. I haven't acid treated it or anything like that. I probably won't since I am a bit afraid to expose the steel to any more things that can make it rust, so I am going to do all the polishing type work with just sand paper. The white stuff you see is the investment/plaster that made the mold so it will be going away.

This one is in copper, its just covered in fire-scale and investment, so its a bit hard to tell.
Ah, the question I dread. My teacher suggested $110 for a piece like this, including the stone eye (not shown, will be put in once its all polished up) but I am willing to negotiate (just be aware I now have casting fees to pay since I am not taking classes this semester...night shift and classes don't mix).
