Well, it's been nearly a month, but at last, here's
TepigFan101's half of the trade I did with him. ^^
Ladies and gentlemen? Allow me to introduce my newest Poke-OC, Corium the Excadrill! I personally don't think Exca or Drilbur get enough attention, or many fans for that matter, and I've had an Exca OC idea brewing in my head for a while, before I finally decided to bite the bullet, go 'fuggit' and just went and drafted up a backstory for him. Speaking of which, here is said backstory, copied and apsted from a Discord server I shared it on. Oh and if you're curious about his stats:
Ability: Sand Force
Level: 65
Moves: Hone Claws, Drill Run, Iron Head, Rock Slide
Now, onto the backstory itself
Growing up in the mines deep in Unova's Twist Mountain, Corium's childhood was filled with thrills and excitement for geology and mineral studies. His family has garnered the moniker of 'Dig Maniacs' for a couple generations, always eager to burrow into a new tunnel system.
But as years trickled by, the drive for seeking new minerals began to wane, and Cori found himself wanting more to life than just the mines. Needless to say his decision to leave Twist Mountain and journey to find new thrills... Didn't sit well with his father.
While his mother wished him well, the old, grizzled Exca nearly disowned his son, citing that his 'father and father's father before him' had been miners in the family line, and was loathe to have tradition broken.
Still, Corium wouldn't be deterred, even confronting his old man, stating that 'times have changed', citing that mining efficiency had been further and further worked on, not just by the mountain Pokemon, but the human miners who'd come in from Driftveil's mining commerce.
Arguements and tempers between the two near-equally defiant Excadrill simmered for almost two full days before Cori's father relented after being shocked by the one phrase he would've never thought he'd hear from his own flesh and blood: 'There's more to life than just digging, dad. You're just too buried in soil and silt to see it.'
After finally receiving his father's blessing, Corium bid a fond farewell to his folks, and even friends he'd known since his young Drilbur days, and now roams freely, seeking new kinds of thrills and ventures.
...Yet still being a miner at heart, he does keep an eye open for any minerals, rocks, geodes, or caves of relative intrigue, making memories for himself to share with his father whenever he finds himself swinging back around home.
As for appearance? Corium stands a fairly sizable 2'10", well above the average for an Excadrill. And aside from his claws and helmet, there isn't much to differentiate him from other 'drills.
As for any differences between him and other 'drills?
Notable Features: Claws and 'helmet' are malleable and metalmorphic. The claws can become smooth all along their length, and flex like fingers, while the helm can be shorter with more blunt edges.
And for other niche details and such...
Likes: Minerals and rocks of almost any kind. Mountain terrain, cave systems, etc. Tunneling with Drill Run for lengthy periods for swift travel. Making new friends. And taking in the sights around him when he hits new landfalls.
Dislikes: Stubborn/Oppressive folks who disagree with others. Anyone/thing that insists they're right and he's wrong. Bullies, opportunistic and dirty fighters. Having his traits made fun of. And people or Pokemon alike who would abuse and ravage good soil or rock formations for profit.
Hobbies: Basking in the sun on warm sands, helping with small digging projects when he's able, and even taking five to study core samples when he finds new rocks to do so.
As far as his preferred choice of vore, I'm not 100% decided on it, but he'll probably be mostly oral. That's not to say he won't be shy about showing his capability for the other types, though.~
So yeah, hope you guys like this lovable mole lump. And if you're curious if he's saying anything in the image, yeah he is. <:3
"Sorry, I was so caught up inspecting this core sample that I tend to get lost in it. Um... Are you interested in geology by any chance?"
