Don't you have it when you're the shy, retiring type, but your nosesnake is an outgoing, ebullient, life-of-the-party kind of person? So embarrassing.

Yeah so we got out the DVD set of SCTV and they mentioned in the comment tracks how John Candy's characters were all ``just give me a moustache'' because he hated having to do any great amount of makeup. First, this is why we don't have to wince through bunches of sketches where John Candy plays a Chinese or Japanese character (seriously, SCTV, you were brilliant but what were you thinking?). Second, that makes it hilarious one of his running characters ended up being Harry, the Guy with the Snake On His Face. It was this snake-profile ``tattoo'' that covered more than half his face and that is a pretty slick bit of business. (You can see some screen shots at http://www.polarblairsden.com/tvsctvcandy.html ) So I know that's why this dumb idea popped into my head.

Instead of using a simulated pen I went with just pencil sketching and did not achieve that 1960s Xerography look.
