Home is the place you feel both safe and relaxed, where the only set rules are the ones you make and bend. It is a place to rest and regather yourself.

This is a very beautiful piece, the soft, relaxed brushstrokes and cool-tone colors, especially the cool-warm purple and violet hues suggesting quiet rest. It's so peaceful and sweet, that I feel a strong yearning to be home asleep again. :)

I did notice though that the poster in the upper right corner the figure shown almost looks like shes reaching out of the poster toward the sleeper. Maybe it's just the angle...

It was a quick and dirty poster design, really. :) Though hickory reaching out to touch someone would be a nice creepy addition!

That's actually from the sketch layer which is still showing.. And it was a dream catcher I had meant to put in the scene. A lot of my pictures have elements that are forgotten when I colour things in :P usually not on purpose!

It's a darling piece, hon, and for some reason this reminds me of my older sister and what her old room used to look like...

It is a mix of innocent and not-so sweet all in one. The form lay down on the bed in such a relaxed pose, it makes me want to rest and have some sweet dreams for myself.
