In this story, we follow Neil, a doctor and computer science expert, at a very unusual time in Earth's history. An interstellar colony ship from an alien species arrives, and they're perfectly happy to cooperate and share their advanced technologies: namely, transporter systems. Transporter systems are able to modify matter as well as making or destroying it, so Neil and his team create a system to turn people into anthropomorphic people. He's the first test subject.

I actually finished this story almost a year ago. Forgot to upload it. Not linked to any of my other stories. I don't often have aliens in stories because first contact happens in so many different ways, and how the two cultures interact depends heavily on first contact. Plus, making up a completely new culture and how it interacts with ours is SO MUCH WORK.
