To be more precise, a french comic by Toutatis, Rukila est la! >XD
This is one of a series of "what if" joke pictures i been thinking for Live to tell in different possible incarnations
I guess only people about 30 years old or hard core comic fans here will understand this parody.
for those who are not familiar, my characters are parodying a very popular french comic known as "Asterix" which many generations of european kids and from other coutries too ( me included ) cherish very much.
Recently this year, unfortunately one of the 2 surviving authors, Alberth Uderzo passed away ( the other, René Goscinny who did write the scripts for the stories passed many years ago in 1977 -_-).
I this left me thinking.... what could i do to show my respect and my my grieve for such a loss, so i made this picture also as a tribute to the peson who drew the comic books that gave me so many hours of fun some decades ago, you´ll be missed greatly Albert Uderzo as much as Rene Goscinny!
If there is another world or something there, i hope both of you will be have fun in that great gaul village in heaven, feasting on grilled wildboars and beating the crap of roman legionaries by Belenos!!! >;)
i hope you like the pictue people! >=)

OMG! Asterix! I had his comics! Had the game for the Sega GameGear. Also had or may still have the VHS movie somewhere! Asterix, the small one, would drink a potion and get super strong! Obelix, his massive friend, was a menhir carrier and always went around with one! They had a dog called Dogmatix and the druid's name was Getafix... Such silly names were used! They always fit the characters! *geeks out*
It´s fun, but i discovered about Asterix from one of it´s animated movies " Asterix et la surprise de Cesar" from 1985, since then, i became very fond and interested in it´s comics lol, for me the theme from that movie "Asterix est la" is Asterix´s universal anthem
In this version Wolufu would be Dogmatix, although here he would be Wolufix >XD

A lovely homage to the original 1959 cover of Asterix the Gaul.
I love all of those little details.
Great job!

Amazing! you must be the first one who comment here that noticed that reference! i can see you sir are a man of coulture and good taste >;)
although Dogmatix or Wolufix here would be an anachronism, because Dogmatix didn´t became Obelix mascot until " Asterix's Tour of Gaul " adventure

Hahaha, this is awesome! XD Such a great fit! (But shouldnt Vulpa be exxtra thicc? XD)
I have a lot of Asterix comics, some are from my dads childhood, and all of the movies in a big box. (Except the newer fully animated ones.) The last movie i got was Asterix and the Vikings. And i still love to watch them.
Here a music video with the theme song of my favorite Asterix movie: Asterix vs. Caesar.

And with the great theme song of "Asterix and the Vikings"

Te rifas y es una lastima que ya no estén con nosotros, maestros de maestros, Asterix es la neta del planeta y tengo algunos de sus libros, son geniales! Si no te ríes no tienes alma. =^w^=

Oh trust me, you don't have to worry about this joke tlying over our heads.
Asterix was one of my favorite comics growing up. A close second was TinTin.
Though Is Ruki wearing a wig in this shot? Or is her Fur Tri-Coloured? Because it's kinda silly. The cute little blush she's making is also adorable.
Also, I noticed you've shortened the "Feet" of the Kemonos. Again! Geez, are you trying to make me flip a table?!

Got her hair longer and colored blonde to fit better the character, the feet where a bit reduced to make them match the Asterix comic style.
I liked Tin tin adventures too, it´s fun but i knew about Tintin in a similar way i did with Asterix, by casually watchin an animated movie through cable, in this chase was "Tintin and the temple of sun"

Alrighty. Glad it's just a false alarm.
Much of my childhood was reading the comics. It was always funny having Snowy's antics play off as well as how he apparently could talk in the comics. (Some of the scenes imply he was talking and that Tintin could understand him.)
Never got to see the animated films, mostly because they were never broadcasted in the area I lived in.

Thanks alot for the nice compliments! i did read many asterix comics along the years and got some of the graphic novels too, must confess i brought those that were made into movies mainly heh, i got very surprised and confused when i realised that my favourite Asterix movie " Asterix et la surprise de Cesar " weren´t based in just one book only, but it was a mix between " Asterix legionary " and " Asterix gladiator "
Vulpala is soo damn beautiful gosh those wild hairstyle and lots of uncovered body parts from her body I loved what am I see worth it to join into their adventures to fight against those nasty Roman soldiers to see they're eyeballs, teeth flies away from their faces and so spelling blood at them only to protect Great Gaul village.
Bad news : Roger Carel, one of the greatest and oldest French voice actors, passed away on September 11th. His son had only announced the news on September 18. RIP Asterix. 1927-2020. 93 years.
