Just a doodle I whipped up of Blacksad getting it.
I'm not sure why I have a fascination with seeing him get tickled. I've never even read the comics. I guess it's just the whole tough persona, and his detective background makes it easy to imagine him having run-ins with Don Turtelli-esque gang members.
Although I will say, I think the Blacksad of the comics is a bit TOO hardened and gruff, and too old, to be reasonably ticklish. So whenever I draw him, I tend to envision him as a younger version of the character, maybe early 30s, just starting out on the detective beat.

I'd see Blacksad as being able to have a strong resistance to pain and and being strong willed enough that he'd be able to tough out most forms of interrogation, and probably planning a way to escape or possibly trick information out of his interrogators.
I wouldn't imagine him as having much familiarity with tickling, perhaps when he was a child but not since then and I don't think he'd be an individual most would try casually tickling and probably not receive much reaction beyond a glare. So I think the sheer WTFery of the situation would be a large part of it along with the sheer indignity of it and that he's helpless to resist his captors and likely not even able to think straight.
Since the comics setting is one where the anthro characters habitually wear shoes and I don't think Blacksad would be the sort to be casually barefoot but he's well groomed, I think his feet would be surprisingly sensitive and quite possibly it's the first time he's ever been tickled there. I doubt he'll be able to resist for long and it's going to be quite a humiliating experience for him, certainly not one I think he'd want anyone knowing about.

Quite right - he’s an expert investigator and can withstand all sorts of brutal persuasion methods. But tickling like this - it’s a torture based on humiliation as well as discomfort, and John here is both unprepared and deeply confused.

He’s not deathly ticklish, nor prone to loud laughter, but he’s ticklish enough to fold under the merciless backscratcher teeth. Desmond O'leary was a bit unhinged... but I wouldn't be surprised if he would use it to humiliate or break down a person. Though he typically just shot them... I could see Blacksad getting the works from him

Honestly, I'd try to tickle O'leary first... hehe if I was gonna die I was taking his reputation with me.
Yeah I've seen it. As fun as tickling is in anime, it still lacks something.... most anime make it weird or something, but that was a good scene.
