So I was walking to my local convenience store and I saw what looked like a lost teddy bear against a brick wall. Looking lost and alone. Dirty and unwanted. All while staring across the street at Luxury condo's being made for large business types that haven't even agreed to set foot in town yet. It kinda broke my heart a little. With Covid and all taht is happeneing it felt like this really spoek volumes about the sad state of this nation at this time. I felt compelled to take this photo.
I feel it speaks to how I feel about hearing so many, through no fault of their own may soon or are facing forced evictions as the cold weather begins to set in.
For those curious. I did walk away from the bear at first but felt if I did. That would also make me part of the issue. That somewhere nearby, a child is crying at the loss of their friend, perhaps their only friend.
So I took the bear home and am making found posters for it. Itll probably turn up nothing but fuck. Ever little thing can help.

Yeah, that about sums up this country right about now, sadly. A teddy bear is probably one of the most innocent looking things one can imagine, alone on the sidewalk with nowhere to call home like so many people out there. Like one of my coworkers for example, whos being forced out of the home he's rented for four years because the property owners cant force out their other tenants who cant pay rent, so theyre selling the property hes renting out from under him.
And I know it's just an inanimate object but when I see stuff like that I cant help but wonder who did it belong to, how did it get there, is some little kid looking all over for it only to never know where it disapeared to?
