vegetarian/vegan options that are literally just flour are an affront to all that is good in this world
i want VEGETABLES in my veggie patty... if i wanted bread i'd eat bread, it's cheaper than frozen disks of bread.

From what I can guess, those flour heavy products are aiming more to taste like real meat than give you veggies. If you want a more veggie based burger that doesn’t necessarily taste like meat, maybe go with Dr. Praeger's California Veggie Burgers. According to the ingredients list, this thing is packed with veggies!

Also, for the record, I’m not a vegetarian. I do love Beast Boy though, an often vegetarian character, so such foods do pique my curiosity.

Thanks for the recommendation! I saw this right after I got home from buying them at the store! They started stocking some newer things so this is very exciting.
I'm not a full on vegetarian yet, but I am trying to change my diet to include as many vegetables as possible for health reasons. I did enjoy Morning Star's chicken nuggets and patties, but then when I saw that it was basically all wheat flour I was really disappointed and a little scared. I'm glad I checked, because I thought I was getting more fiber and vitamins, and instead it was kind of like eating more bread.
I like their black bean patties and another that has more veggies as main ingredients, though! I just wish there was more like that, lol.

That's pretty much what I'm doing! I still eat meat, but it used to be part of every meal and now it's only every few days at the most. I'm also trying to be confident in cooking which is going slow, so I still eat out and those veggie options that most restaurants provided are not... good, lol.
There's a LOT more options now than just a few years ago where I live now though, so that's awesome. My goal is to be an ovo-vegetarian eventually.
