Some info about Ran:

Ran is rowdy, wild and very straightforward in contrast to Liliane, who is disciplined, calculated and very serious.
Ran girl grew up in a vast forest inhabitated by a tanuki tribe that’s revering the Earth Dragon (One of Neirdra's sisters). Ran is the daughter of the chieftain of the tribe. Ran had to train hard, master a degree in discipline and ultimately become the next chief of the tribe. But she disliked her role and her parents and left the tribe, going out of the forest into the vast wilderness of the world. She had to steal in order to survive and was barely able to trust anyone. Eventually, she made her home in a small peaceful forest near Miyuki Village. And as time went, she met Alice as she tried to steal food from a banket meant for Neirdra. Alice however, caught her redhanded. Ran wanted to flee but to her surprise, Alice offered her food out of kindness and thinking Ran was starving. This little event was the beginning of a deep friendship between the two as Ran took Alice’s kindness as a sign there’s still a place for her in the world. The two became friends and got into trouble at times. But Ran never needed to steal anymore and was happy to live near Miyuki Village, helping the residents whenever they needed a hand.

Ran is a martial arts fighter but she lacks discipline. This lack causes her to lose against foes that keep their cool and try to counter Ran’s moves.
Ran can also disguise herself in everything and everyone thanks to the sacred Tanuki leaf she has pinned in her hair. Unfortunately, the leaf doesn’t disappear in the transformation and often betrays her.

Ran sees Liliane as a stubborn and prude annoyance and often likes to mess with her. The two get in fights frequently but nothing too serious.
