At the beginning of our concept art class we made a series of concepts where we had to do the majority of the painting during the lesson (around 2 hours) and then at home put another hour, not longer in to finish it.
The motive in all of these is slavic mythology.

We were given prompts for each painting at the beginning of the class, so there was no planning before. I wanted to focus on storytelling with each of these painting, like with this one, that could be something a character sees when he's on the way to the witch's house.
