Miss B took Willa 'under her wing' when she came to castle Castle (the original builder was a trifle lacking in the skills that go with naming anything) as her 'niece' - they aren't directly related, just from the same village - and gave her advice on court manners, her job, and eventually Lord Tad when she confessed to having a secret affair with him.
