Dustin may be a largely bio-mechanical robot but that doesn't mean he can't enjoy the things that regular organics do. He is after all a cat and spending time laying in the sun soaking up the rays provides several benefits for him. One its warm and therefore it feels good. Two is he can actually convert the sun into energy for himself if need be and lastly he loves the nosebleeds he gives to both the guys and girls who get to see him lounging. That last one may or may not be true though. ;) Largely though he loves the warmth of the sun on his body and it's an excuse to just go around in his green swim briefs. Green just so happens to be his favorite color.
