ok, so, this is a gift for the artist
DirgeServal because they've been going through a rough time, and they have done some lovely work for me, and i've commissioned them way too many times, and the artwork is amazing, and money just isn't enough sometimes, so, i took the only pencil i could find, got some paper out of my printer, found a drawing tutorial online, and spent like 2 and half hours drawing this fairly simple thing while listening to various songs such as Addict by the hazbin hotel people, Tacky by weird Al, and The Devil In I by Slipknot. i know a very weird combo of songs especially for a drawing this simple but its how i work damnit. anyway, i got a rather short story to go along with it too, because thats how i work damnit.
Icey took a deep breath as they woke up in the morning. it had only been a week since they graduated from their magic college, learning the specific classes of alternative and elemental magic. alternative magic had to do with affecting others, such as illusions, charming, or Icey's favorite, transformation. this magic could come in handy for getting out of situations without violence. but, when violence was needed, Icey also learned elemental magic just for that. that class of magic, of course, focused on the elements, including fire, water, earth, air, electricity, and metal.
Of course, those weren't Icey's only classes for college. their other classes included history, draconic anatomy and culture, cooking, and their favorite, alchemy. It was this love for alchemy that gave them their job so quickly after school, a job at a little potion shop called Dragon's Spit. not the most attractive of names, but magic users understand the usefulness dragon saliva can provide in alchemy.
Icey got out of bed and walked over to their closet, smiling at the sight of their sorceress robes. the boss had encouraged them to wear these robes, as the shop didn't quite have a uniform for it yet. so Icey pulled out the customized robes, colored a more pastel version of red and orange. Red being the color to symbolize elemental magic due to fire being the most popular. Orange is the color of alternative magic due to that being the flash of color that usually with alternative spells. it was also emblazoned with a few alchemy symbols on the back.
Icey slipped the robes on and headed downstairs to get themselves a nice cup of tea before headed out to work. they walked down the large road in the city called Everspark. the city was very large, and was one of the main cities of the mostly magic kingdom of Syla. walking down the street Icey looked at the large buildings, some of them being normal stores, some being old fashioned wizard's towers, some being libraries, a lot of interesting buildings were between Icey's home and the potion shop. and the people around here were interesting too. mostly anthro dragons, but plenty of canines, rats, horses, and otters as well. nearly every other person was wearing a magic item of some kind, even if it was something as minor as a wrist band that glowed a different color depending on the hour of the day.
Icey smiled and waved at a couple people on their way to work, soon reaching the small wooden building with the blue sign and yellow lettering above it saying "Dragon's Spit Alchemy" on it. Icey took a deep breath and stepped in, seeing the black and gray snake fellow organizing the potions on the shelves. he looked over and smiled.
"Ah, Icey, good timing. uh I need you to organize these potions while i go brew up some more potions." Icey smiled and nodded, headed over and getting help going over how they should be organized, the more popular adventuring stuff closer to the counter and rarer things close to the door. he then headed to the back as Icey got to work organizing everything and moving the little bits of paper that had the price on them with. Icey smiled, hoping their boss will trust them relatively soon to make potions of their own for the shop. for now though it would have to be the more mundane work, which was fine.
alright, thats all i got. whew. hope you enjoy it, don't ask why their wearing robes in the story but naked in the pic. i didn't want to draw robes ok!?
oh yeah and obviously Icey belongs to
DirgeServal though what i wrote here is all stuff that takes place in my universe. not canon, but i prefer working with my universe rather than generic fantasy universe that i have to come up with on the spot... alright i'll shut up now.
