I have only applied just a wash over the main tone so far.
It remains to lighten the tones in the places of light, to highlight the contrasting lines near the dark wash and to apply some scales-dots by acrylic paints for the relief of the color.
A loooot of work to be perfect.

i know shadows using wash and lighting using dry brush techniques , i meant the tiny scales you actually seem to have modeled into the sculpture itself . i struggle with modeling details in clay or other material
