Stories tell of a dragon, living in an old abandoned temple deep inside a mountain range. They say he rules over the fertile lands surrounding these mountains, allowing people to settle there in exchange for services and tribute. Men and dragon mostly leave each other alone, apart from the regular delivery of goods and cattle to the dragon and the occasional sighting, when he decides to inspect his lands, casting his vast shadow over the cities and farmlands when flying over them. And so the people are allowed to govern themselves with but a set of rather simple rules they need to abide.
Though history has shown time and time again that men, when given enough time and freedom, develop a greed and ambition comparable to that of dragons. They will start to test their limits until they eventually break the rules and invoke the anger of their lord. And dragons, particularly this one, are not known for giving second chances.

This really cool piece was the first YCH I ever got.
Granted, the original sketch already kinda looked like Tarkus, so it was an easy choice. :D
