Thank you everyone for joining us for this Doughnation Drive! This is to help
Arieos and his cat’s medical expenses. We urge everyone to participate and read the rules below even if you’re not a donor!
Make sure to check out the twitter post with the polls here: Twitter Post!
To start this all off, we would like to talk about
Arieos’ cat, Pumpkin. She has already had her operation and she is recovering. More medication might be needed, but overall she has averted the issue and she is no longer in immediate danger for the time being. We wanted to stress this so you guys aren’t worried to the point of forcing a donation. Please, only send financial support if you are okay with it. And to those of you who don’t have money to spare, your contributions to this fundraiser, be it just words, still mean a lot to us. So thank you! With that out of the way, we can get to the rules of this drive.
We will try to keep the rules simple for everyone in this Doughnation Drive. The heart of this drive is community interaction. Donors or not, you all have a job to do!
For donors, your job is to help us pack on the pounds! For every dollar you donate, one pound will be donated to the both of us! You get to enjoy fattening us up to your heart’s content! The highest donor for the week will be featured in that week’s piece as well!
To donors, please send your donations to Paypal.me/Tristanragusa. Please include a twitter tag or other means of contact in your donation description!
For viewers and donors alike, your job is to vote! We would like to stress that voting is FREE! and that everyone can do it! There will be two different polls, one for each character. Your vote decides where that weight goes! The selections available will be Face, Chest, Belly, and the Bottom Half (Tail, Butt, Thighs). You can go vote HERE
After the proportions have been decided at the end of the poll, there will be one more. This is also free to vote in, so stay updated with the drive! Every week, there will be a question that we ask which directly affects what happens to us in the next image. The winning vote will determine the outcome so you can truly get the image that you want.
From the bottom of our hearts we want to thank you for all the support that we get. This is to the donors and viewers alike. Your contributions are what will make this Doughnation Drive feel truly alive and special! You will be saving a life in the process too, and it really means the world to us as well!

Two things:
It to me feels like Kygen’s anatomy changes with every post.
I like the thin to chubby versions of him more than the really fat ones because even though the above still applies, some configurations of his anatomy actually looked really cool but when he gets just really round some of that design finess is just gone. And believe me I really like your art and Kygen’s design that’s why I’m feeling apprehensive.
I know it’s stupid to complain about that on a post specifically doing the second thing for charity but I’ve been feeling like that for a long time and I just wanted to tell you. To everyone else by all means donate if you care for the cause, don’t let me sow doubts. Thanks for reading.

I completely agree with the changes in anatomy. The only thing I keep the same is the blue colors and that he is a roo. The main reason behind these constant modifications, is that I am experimenting with his design. I by no means am a character designer; however, I have been slowly trying out different things to make his proportions stand out. I am still not set on how he looks and will likely keep trying out new methods. I do think I am stepping in the right direction with the one above, but don't be surprised when he changes a little bit more in the next image. For the weight gain drive though, I will do my absolute best to maintain this form, just with added weight. For sequences, I try to keep things consistent. It is when I make new artwork, I can keep experimenting until I find out what works. Eventually, I will get to a point an solidify the new proportions in a new ref sheet. Right now, however, I am still in the middle of the experimenting stage.
I apologize for not being consistent, and will do my best to lock down something soon!

Wow, I was expecting something more dismissive... No offense but when I see that that’s basically the way a lot of people on here do things I thought... You know, something more dismissive, as I said, heh.
But anyway I know the struggle working with kangaroos, they’re weird to draw and get the proportions to look right, I personally thought you’d be getting closer and closer to a (more) final design with your other pieces, that’s why it’s a bit jarring for this to come along, but here’s something you need to hear: You are a character designer, you design characters and have done so for years. That’s like saying a person who spends years in a mine swinging the pickaxe isn’t a miner, even if he’s doing it just for the workout and only the occasional monetary payment. If anything you should say “I’m a bad character designer” which I also think is untrue.
I actually really liked the direction it was going with the series of drawings with Maz and company and the ref sheet design, not how I would’ve done it exactly but that’s on me, I thought it was solid but I completely agree with the sentiment of pushing a design in different directions, better than being stuck with the same artstyle and tropes of design for a decade.
You go do your thing and I’ll be lurking, watching your content in the shadows where no one will see the shamefulness of my pitiful existence.
Have Fun! Thanks for reading! :)
