Oh my god. Did I mention that The Rescuers and The Rescuers Down Under are two of my favorite Disney films? And that The Rescuers Down Under is probably one of my favorite films, period?

Bernard is so goddamn adorable. Bob Newhart makes a great mouse. He's modest, and sorta shy, and honest, and just a big squishy sweetheart!

Ah, Miss B... So classy and refined. I love her walk cycle as she enters the Rescue Aid Society meeting for the first time in THE RESCUERS (1977).

Thanks fenril! I used a model sheet I found somewhere or 'nother which made it considerably more easy to keep him close to model.

I love thes emovies tons! Some of my favourites! And Bernard was such a wonderful character. I think it'd be weird to see Bob Newhart as anything other than Bernard honestly.

what about the great mouse detective? If you watch that for the bar scene, the mouse(rat?) at the piano was one of the inspirations for rust, (well that and you and weaselgrease's stuff)

Ehhh, yeah, I liked that as a kid too, but I find it hard to get back into. I'd rather just look at fanart than watch the movie.

yeah, i was looking at a reference sheet but this was i believe my first time drawing bernard. the main thing i deviated on from the model were the eyes, if i recall correctly.
