So, a few weeks ago, one of my Guinea Pigs, Morty, died. Very sad. The remaining guinea, Chunk (the larger one) even seemed lonely, and I've read that guinea pigs actually do get lonely. With long time partners, if one died, he should be replaced ASAP. I also read that it's better to replace them with a younger baby guinea pig so there's less of a fight of dominance. That didn't happen with Gravy (not pictured) at all, but it makes sense.
Behold: Nugget/Sundae/mini-chunk (smaller). Haven't really settled on a name yet. He looks like he could easily be Chunk's kid, and Chunk really stepped up to the father roll. After a bit of mounting each other, they're bossom buddies. I'm surprised and happy that even after one day, they get along so well. Nugget constantly snuggles up and under Chunk, and Chunk has no problem stepping and lying on him. I think Nugget likes it. They get along so well.
Nugget's very mild. He never tried to get away from you, and will just stay on your lap all night and be petted. More updates as things progress.
Thank you all for your support when Morty died. It is very appreciated.
