In "Star Trek: Rebirth" these are some of the principle ships seen in service by the Romulans, Klingon, Federation, Ferengi and Borg. The silhouettes show the comparative sizes of each, with the old Galaxy Class at far left.

While the "Hyper Cube" I feel is quite amusing, the rest seem quite fascinating in their linear progression.
I like the design of the Starfleet war ship there, with what look like shuttle bays and...weapon ports? by the nacelle roots and what look like dedicated phaser banks in the dish. The class seems reminiscent of the Akira-class. I've always been baffled by that class, but the design itself definitely wanted to be what that Escort is.
That's a pretty big Ferengi vessel though. I've never seen a Ferengi naval vessel though...and I suppose the planet might have a standing star navy.
Romulans always had spooky designs, and this one's no different, but I've still never wrapped my head around the logistics of their power sources.
I'm not so sure that the Klingons would buy into that design in the corner, though. It's kind of haunting in a sleek kind of way, but I always took them for a sort that would rather intimidate with the shape of their weapons first and foremost. Maybe it's just me on that one.

When are you gonna show the artificial wormhole between Talaxia and New Talaxia in the Alpha quadrant?
'Cause you know, the Talaxians went and asked to join the United Federation of Planets! And after they founded a new homeworld in Federation space, they petitioned for help to get their old homeworld in the Delta quadrant restored. As well as help in finding all those scattered Talaxians to bring them back home! So Talaxia becomes the first bit of UFP territory in the Delta Quadrant, and a huge Federation starbase is built there. Uh... call it "Deep Space Ten!" And there's a huge effort to bring their old home planet back to its former beauty.
And the Talaxian wormhole bridge's design is modeled after the Celestial Temple orbiting Bajor, only this one was built and is controlled by the Talaxians and the Federation.
Yeah, see? This totally should have happened! ^_^

All this is news to me. I only watched Voyager sporadically, because it was a "sideways" step rather than a foreward one that developed the mythos. (And was a trial run before going actually backwards in Enterprise, and finally wiping out all future history in the last movie. Those guys must have really had it in for Rodenberry.)
I would rathern not have to accept anything that happened in Voyager as canon. They were so sloppy with the mythos that it creates all sorts of problems -- Borg Queens, Q with gender and ideas of marriage, and a galaxy riddled with wormholes created by the Borg. Impossible to fit it all in without damaging the original vision beyond repair.
The Talaxians were the spotty looking race that Voyager's "cook" picked up, right? He started as an interesting character, being astonished by things like bathtubs full of water, but after a while it seemed he was just a guy in a custume and not a new species with it own characteristics.
I always figured this would be the ultimate Borg Cube:
