Dr Science doesn't consider herself a mad scientist. She considers herself as more of a 'reckless scientist'
Sure, she doesn't always think experiments through before doing them. Sure, she has more than once tested an experiment on herself because it was too hard to find volunteers. Sure, infrequently she likes to have a good hearty maniacal laugh when checking the results of an experiment.
But these are normal scientist traits!
Which is why she had some of the light switches around Science Laboratories replaced with ones that look like they're out of an old horror movie.
If you can have a good laugh just turning on the light, you'll be more focused in the lab. Get it out of your system.
Some of the paper pushers insinuated that this was a waste of money but she'll show them! SHE'LL SHOW THEM ALL!
