Brant Starr. The traitorous collaborator with his own agenda. Formerly the hotshot pilot of the CFS Birmingham, he was extremely chafed by the fact that a young blue yoshisaur who hadn't even gone through academy, let alone been formally trained to fly was the new stud on the flight deck. It incensed him even more to be paired as the new pilot's wingmate.

Brant and Vector flew a number of missions together. And it was a further indignity that Vector was moved to wingleader; Brant knew he was the best pilot on the Birmingham, yet he had to follow the new blood's orders. That did not sit well with the short-tempered red yoshisaur.

On a mission deep into Tairez territory, the two pilots were set upon by an ambush. Neither Brant nor Vector could have hoped to fight against the odds they faced and won. It was in this situation that Brant's fighter was disabled. Vector stayed, and fought off as many of the Empire's Aurora class starfighters, but it was too much, and the young blue yoshisaur fled, leaving his wingmate to die in deep space.

But he did not. The Imperial flagship, Pentastar arrived shortly after, and scooped up the hapless yoshisaur. On being brought aboard, Brant requested to speak to the commanding officer. Brought before the ship's commander, Tairez science minister Richter DeLeon, Brant proposed a formal defection; He would join the Empire, despite knowing it would relegate him to status as a second class citizen at best, and a glorified slave at worst.

So he accompanied Richter and his fleet on their mission back through time, to capture the world of Atradaitoshi. After several encounters with Vector, Richter equipped Brant with a similar pair of boots to the Velocity Amplification Boots; However, these were refined: Faster, better and more advanced in every way. And so he began undertaking missions against the Rebellion, with an agenda to punish the young blue yoshisaur who had robbed him of his dignity, status, and freedom.
