- unless I'm not using it (an addle-brained, contorted-pose wide-eyed brown lizard) anymore by the time you read this. I promised the people who tried to figure out where he came from that I'd reveal the source today...
This is but a single page out of an epic, multi-issue Dr. Strange story I read back in my stoned-out-of-my-mind college days. (I wasn't the only one either; in Tom Wolfe's 'The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test' Wolfe writes about Ken Kesey's Merry Pranksters grooving on 'Steve Ditko (the artist) chiascuro.')
By the way this art still rocks!

One of my best convention sketchbook drawings ever was inspired by this guy - me walking along, suddenly striking a similar pose (arms and legs all contorted) & in the last panel crawling on the ground in full reptilian form ("ssso evil, ssso delightfully evil") - the first appearance of the guy who would eventually evolve into Komos.
I told the guy whose sketchbook it was he had to send me a copy or I would kill him. The son of a bitch didn't & there's now a price on his head. (Plus I now bring my camera with me & photograph all my sketchbook art just in case)
