Taken from my pal
acr of what I'd like to see appear on the Nintendo Switch.
1. MegaMan Battle Network Legacy Collection
With Capcom having already put out Legacy Collections for the Classic, X, and Zero/ZX series, this may be the next step. For anyone unaware, Battle Network was a series of RPGs for the Game Boy Advance taking place in an alternate universe where net technology flourished instead of robotics. Granted, everything past the second entry had two versions, but the option to select which version would be welcome.
2. Golden Sun Complete
This was one of the most ignored Nintendo franchises ever. I didn't even really play this until they showed up on the Wii U Virtual Console. Having both of the original games, the first one and The Lost Age, would be nice, but this time, merged together into a single game as nature intended.
3. Dragon Quest: The Zenthian Trilogy (IV, V, and VI)
With the first three already available on the Switch, might as well continue with the classics. These were the games where the stories started getting good. Where the mechanics were improving. Where the party members had more to them than just their class and abilities. I mean, one of these three was so beloved, they made a movie about it.
4. Star Fox Zero: With almost every other Wii U game getting ported to the Switch, might as well. Let's face it. This game could have been great, if it hadn't been for its reliance on a clunky control scheme with the Wii U Gamepad that you could not turn off. Take that away, and this game may actually become the masterpiece it was destined to be.
5. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
One of the best Star Wars games ever made, and a reminder of how BioWare used to be cool. All that's needed for this to happen is a touch-up in the graphics, and for Disney to make sure EA behaves themselves (i.e. NOT ruin it with loot boxes and microtransactions and everything else that reminds us how EA sucks). I will never trust EA with any new games, but if this happens, they'd better not screw it up like they almost always do.
6. The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 1 and 2
With the third game already available for Switch, with the fourth game getting a port next year, might as well complete the quartet with the first two games. Well, in this particular part of the larger Trails series. The entire franchise could easily be put on the Switch, but maybe just stick to the most recent games for the time being. Falcom has a lot on their plate already.
7. Fire Emblem: The Tellius Saga (Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn)
With Fire Emblem back in the spotlight thanks to Three Houses, maybe the time is ripe to bring back the classics for the Switch. Perhaps the ones that are very expensive to even buy in their original forms. It fits for this site too, since the Laguz of Tellius are basically werebeasts. Also, Ike is the star of these games. Your argument is invalid.
8. Front Mission
Speaking of tactical RPGs, this is one I'd like to see. A classic, mostly Japan only series that involves battles between giant robots (called 'Wanzers' in this game). If they bring any of these games to the Switch, might as well be the original, which already came back via the DS. Also, any of you who think last year's Left Alive is indicative of what the series is like, don't worry. Front Mission is quite good actually.
9. Sonic Adventure 1 and 2
Last multi-game entry. Promise. And why wouldn't I ask for this? A few gameplay fixes and graphical updates, and they'd be perfect for the Switch. These are the 3D Sonic games that the fanbase begs Sonic Team to look to for future games (even though that went poorly on a number of occasions). Plus, they could tweak the 2 Player mode in 2 to run online. That could be fun.
10. Star Ocean: Second Evolution
They already brought the remake of the first Star Ocean to Switch. Might as well do it again. Star Ocean 2 is the best game in the franchise, but it was also what sealed the franchise's doom. After this, the games that followed did things that kept them from being on the same level of what came before (3's godawful plot twist, Last Hope's annoying cast, Integrity and Faithlessness being Integrity and Faithlessness). But really, the first two games are all you need with Star Ocean.
