The following is a bio card for one of my early recurring villains for the series I'm working on that now has a title; "A Hero In Snake's Skin." On the exact opposite end of the hero spectrum is the vicious assassin, 'Deimos'.
Deimos is a Vanisher, a species of reptilians with optic camouflage abilities, allowing them to go invisible at will. Vanishers are a zealously anti-intervention species. They believe that the world only suffers the more one tries to manipulate and change it from within; that the hands of fate should be allowed to fall as they please. As such, they have taken it upon themselves to eradicate any who would dare to control the fate of the world for what they believe to be the "greater good." Which, naturally, pit them squarely against the Saurians, causing the two factions to war with one another for decades.
And while both factions are known for forging the most hardened, deadly ninjas and assassins the world has ever known, none are quite as dangerous or as fanatically devoted to their cause as Deimois...
An expert assassin with blades to spare, Deimos cannot be reasoned with, bargained with, bribed, blackmailed or controlled. He will hunt his targets down and eliminate them before they even know what hit them...
Which means certain Saurians better watch their backs...
Some tidbits:
- Deimos' headcanon boss theme is this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3APUp93oG3A
- Deimos is decidedly evil, but genuinely believes in his cause.
- Unlike Saurians, Vanishers cannot shift into human form. Which is just as well because Deimos regards humans as little more than worthless meat. He doesn't even concern himself with them due to an inherent superiority complex.
- Deimos is fanatical to the point where even some of his brethren regard him as too extreme. Unfortunately for them, his masters don't care how extreme he is, so long as he gets results.
- Deimos excels at martial arts, but his specialty lies stealth tactics and ranged combat. He will stalk his victims and use his throwing knives to immobilize them from afar, lodging his blades into their legs, ankles or directly into their spines and cause short-term paralysis...short-term because they're only paralyzed for but a few moments before Deimos approaches and slits their throats open...
- Like Saurians, Vanishers are a voracious species. Deimos has devoured many in his time, but he never devours his victims. He makes it a point to leave their bodies sprawled out for others to see; a warning sign of what's to come.
- Both Hakari AND Cadmus, despite being exiled from their clans or going rogue respectively, are on Deimos' hitlist. The mere fact that they are Saurians, regardless of the fact that they don't believe in what the Saurian Brotherhood does, is enough for Deimos to want them dead.
- Fanatic or not, Deimos does take sick pleasure in the hunt.
- Deimos arguably harbor an inherent, xenophobic hatred of species that are not his own, due to his belief that other species have rapidly altered the course of history for the worst. (Boy, good thing he wasn't born yet when 2020 happened...I think the rage of our collective stupidity alone would've killed him before any virus could...)
- To satiate his hunger, Deimos will often hunt, kill and devour bandits.
