OCeptember Day 16: With Siblings
OCeptember Day 16: With Siblings
Character(s): Mica, Alana, Jackson
Hoo boy here we go, have a heart wrenching one. The first of a few. :'D
Yes, Mica has siblings! I've introduced them before but I haven't drawn all three together at all, and today was the perfect day to do so. But for those who haven't seen that post-
Alana and Jackson are the two younger siblings of Mica by a decent amount of time(Mica and Alana are 10 years apart while her and Jackson are 12 years apart). She found out after meeting her birth mother for the first time in 20 years(which is a whole other can of worms to open), and... she wasn't happy.
At all.
See, Mica DESPISES her birth parents because of what happened to her. Her mother specifically. So when she found out she had SIBLINGS, she promptly lost her shit- especially since Alana was born right as Micas abuse started getting.... /really/ bad. To her, finding out that she had siblings that young was a huge, firey stab to the gut. It felt like her parents, mother specifically, just... gave up. Like they just gave up on finding their /already existing/ daughter and decided to start all over again and forgot about her.
If you've seen the one picture of the Forbidden Love AU, you know that's farther from the truth, but unfortunately her mother is about as weak willed in the normal timeline as she in in the Werewolf timeline so she accepted Mica as either lost entirely or even dead by the time 2-3 years passed.
Mica faces an INCREDIBLE dilemma in finding out about Alana and Jackson- She wants to hate them as much as she hates their parents. She REALLY does. They got the parental love and life that she never did even if they were sheltered, and they got to live a relatively trauma-free life by the time they were the age she was when... well... You know. She wants to completely disown them herself and never have to worry about the two 'replacements' again; but she knows that they're just kids. Alana is 10 and Jackson is 8 while she herself is a full 20. She WANTS to hate them but she can't bring herself to fully do so because they're kids and they didn't KNOW. She's very torn on it upon meeting them, especially when she notices that Jackson is almost a spitting image of herself without the eye condition and tattoos.
I unfortunately can't really say she grows 'fond' of them when they're all older, but she is a little more tolerant. Alana kinda accepted that they wouldn't be at all close despite occasionally still trying, but Jackson actually actively tries to get to know her a bit. It gets to the point where Mica doesn't mind acknowledging that they're her siblings and that Felicity and Emery have a blood Aunt and /another/ Uncle, and she feels /a TINY bit of/ sympathy for them when their father passes(Alana and Jackson are in their late teens then, and Mica didn't give a fuck but was decent enough to not be disrespectful about it infront of them).
Their relationship never goes past acknowledgment on Micas end even if Alana and Jackson may try a bit later to get close.
And there you go.
Unfortunately it's not a 'happy' ending, but at least she doesn't disown them entirely. 🤷♀️
