The young ram held the book in his paws and studied it.
It was a beautiful book. Number one of a ten-volume first run, it was clearly printed on acid-free paper, lovingly illustrated, and containing, if such a thing were possible, the soul of the author. The cover was tooled leather, and represented a masterwork of the bookbinder’s art.
The young ram opened the book and glanced at a few of the pages before shrugging and tossing it into the fire. If its ideas accorded with those of the Leader and the Party, it was redundant; if its ideas opposed the Leader – well, the message on social media had been very clear.

and I are one too... *chuckles...
I had a friend who was a Jewish Lawyer (his kids skated with my kids) and he was liberal. I was conservative. We had the best conversations and never ever any anger between us. His wife had come from Russia and she told me some of her life. (not pleasant) as had my wife's grandmother. She was Latvian and escaped the Russian invasion by going to Germany where they lived in a labor camp for the duration of the war.
People embarrassing totalitarian governments never seem to realize what they lose by doing so.
I like to stay balanced, not forcing my beliefs on any one.
That does not mean I don't fear the future. Easily, the virus could just be the beginning...
