While America is crawling out of the “Wild West,” Japan is finishing its Meiji Era, and June Southerland desperately tries to keep herself steady with a foot in both worlds - in a manner of speaking. What was meant to be an extended visit to see a local doctor turns into finding herself stranded halfway around the world, and June is forced to rely on the kindness of strangers to survive. She wonders if it’s possible that they’re really as nice as they seem, while they wonder if they can take care of her as they also juggle less...mundane responsibilities.

Unlike Obey Me, this game’s plot isn’t stuck together with gum and suspension of disbelief, and the characters are all fully developed and would be healthy in a relationship already; so, I’m not re-inventing the wheel with this one. xD;;

Ouch... A truly heartless man, her now-ex... How could you just.. PLAN to abandon someone like that?

Yeah, her ex is a bastard. I’ll go into their relationship a bit more as she gets more comfortable talking about it. Re: having her dumped overboard, my thought was that it was a) more expensive and b) required more witnesses. For this, there’s only one brow-beaten maid who could attest that her poor, frail mistress didn’t survive the trip. Considering that maids were almost property at that point, she wouldn’t have much of a choice unless she wanted to get shipped off somewhere, too.
And thank you! There isn’t a lot of action planned because June is generally on the periphery of that sort of thing; so, I thought I’d add a little to kick things off and to show that she’s not a simpering waif, despite her circumstances.
