turns out giving up constantly chasing jerry was one of the best decisions tom ever had. he had spent countless hours attempting to catch a small mousey meal, and for what?
there were plenty of delicious foods and treats stocked in the kitchen, and his housefolk were too busy to ever notice the fridge running suspiciously low, all the time. why not take advantage of the best feast a cat could ever have, every day and every night? no limits, no running around setting up traps or getting stuck in someone else’s, just pure gluttony.
it only took a few weeks for there to be a noticeable difference in tom’s weight. his once slender figure was really beginning to thicken and round out as time passed, especially in his belly region. normally flat, it now hung low and jiggled with the slightest movement, often gurgling and sloshing with whatever he stuffed in his mouth. rolls formed around his torso, soft and wobbly love-handles that spilled over his sides, along with flabby moobs resting atop a massive gut. every part of him seemed to be covered in a layer of doughy lard, and quite honestly he loved it.
