Oh, right, meant to respond to your journal about that. :) You can definitely get a 2nd battery for the thing. I travel with 2 batteries with the MBP you see above, although I almost never have to use the 2nd battery unless I'm actively using it on a plane ride. As with any laptop, if you drop the brightness down and avoid having lots of tabs open in your browser (FA in particular, all those animated ads eat up CPU), you should be able to squeeze a few hours out of the battery. The biggest thing that eats batteries on laptops is crap running in the background that you don't really need. On Windows, you bring up a Task Manager. On Macs, you bring up Activity Monitor (Apps -> Utilities -> Activity Monitor). Anything chewing up more CPU than you think it ought to be should probably be killed or otherwise looked into. ;)
Likewise. ;) One of these days, I'll buy one of these:

Thank you! I designed the arrangement myself, but they are stock glass from Home Depot. The idea was to make it look watery/flowy down from the platform on the stairwell to the right (off-screen). I intend to put a copper fountain on a table in front of the window to the left, once I find a new home for that book case.
Oh wow I've never seen anyone else with that gold dragon on the top left of your collection.
I love all the dragon pieces I own but that one takes the cake for me, I've never seen a dragon figure with that much energy, and that well rendered.
Cool to see someone else liked it enough to buy it!

LOL, you're selling a dysfunctional keyboard on eBay? ;)
FWIW, that Saitek Cyborg keyboard had issues for me as well. It would periodically stop responding, the lights would go out, etc. But to be fair, I had attached to an unpowered hub on the end of a 25' long USB cable. Not really fair. I should give it another try, now that I have replaced the 25' usb cable with a CAT5 cable flanked by USB converters, and I found power for the hub.

Unfortunately, I didn't take a photo before I started evacuating it in preparation for a new rooommate/housemate. But, here are some older photos of how the hoard in the dragon room looked a few years ago, which is fairly close to how it looked a few weeks ago, as I didn't have many additions since then. Note that the figurines in the curio cabinet in the corner outnumber the plushies, but you wouldn't guess that by looking at it. ;) This also doesn't include the "display hoard" -- the dragons scattered throughout the house in a more visually appealing manner, such as those flanking the TV.
A little, yes, and I do take frequent breaks. The key is to be far enough back so the vertical motion necessary to cover the whole screen with a glance is minimal. Also, the TV is tilted a little, so it's mostly perpendicular to my plane of vision, which is good. I have a taller chair with a ledge for my feet (designed for electronics/manufacturing workbenches), but I need a taller table. I could put it on books or something, but that's lame, and makes it hard to move around (which I do often).
Yeah, I had some EHS training at work (after setting this thing up *sigh*). I could actually move the mount lower, but it would sorta break the layout. I'd have to lower the bottom shelves to line up or something. >.> Too much engineer in me! ;) I actually thought about designing a mount where the TV could be lowered for computer use, and raised for movie or display purposes. Hmm.
I used to have a whole room full of 'em, a few years ago. Since those photos, it got so ridiculously full, there was almost a fire. So I packed 'em up and made it inhabitable. >.>
One shelf started coming loose, so I took it down and rescued e mounts with better drywall anchors. Now it is crazy strong. I was going to do the same with the others, but I'm not sure which kind of anchors I used now. Heh. Plus, the wall is really annoying, because right about the top of the TV is this huge HORIZONTAL support beam (it's a split level house). But the result was worth it. :). I've displayed many commissions on that thing, and they look so awesome. ^_^
