I've said it before. There's nothing like getting the feeling of the instrument you love under your fingertips. The slight moment of anticipation before bowing out the first note. The skip in the heartbeat as the notes string together to form a phrase, starting a musical story for the audience before you. You close your eyes, and you don't notice sheet music, or people in the gallery, or the conductor leading the charge. No. You notice the pull of the unwritten lyrics guiding you along, the scenes playing out like a movie inside of your mind and your heart. And, at least in my mind, there is little other feeling in the world that hits quite the same as when the song starts playing, and in those moments, it doesn't matter if you're on stage, or in a practice room, or in your own home. You feel like the start of a symphony under the starry night sky, where the world becomes your stage.

This is another birthday gift I've received from a dear friend of mine, actually the first of many friends I've made since entering this fandom. I can't thank you enough for something that is so beautiful it actually brought tears to my eyes when I saw it. Thank you again.
