OK, so I have my furry Superman with Dogstar...what about Batman? I mean, if only from the perspective of my Wildheart superhero universe, all mammals are anthro, so having a character dress up as a bat anyway would be as offensive to other anthros as a white guy putting on a sombrero and calling himself "Chicanoman" or something.
Of course, since criminals are typically nocturnal creatures, what do almost all nocturnal creatures have an instinctual fear of? Owls...so, I recycled a long defunct uniform and name from my human superhero stories and, honestly, I kinda like how it looks.
Why is Knightowl female and feline, though? No reason, really...I just felt like it.
