Nono... It is statistics.
My lucario (nicknamed Bruce Lee) has an attack stat of 350. That combined with the base attack power of 100 is alot of damage. Charizard is a fire/flying pokemon. Rock is super effective against both, giving a 4x damage multiplier. When put in the damage calculator (giving charizard the max defence he/she can obtain) it does a minimum of 364 damage. The very maximum amount of health a Charizard can have is 360. No matter what, it would be a one-hit-KO
Also.. you give equipment to prevent killing in one turn...my lucario has the same thing. Charizard and lucario would have 1hp left on the second turn with the special item to prevent dying in one turn. Lucario has extremespeed and charizard has no priority moves (ones that strike first like extremespeed or quick attack or bullet punch). Therefore.. lucario would win no matter what. Even if you struck first and got a critical... he would win
