"How long can she dive?...", Amy wonders because she has started a timer in the submarine and that shows over three and a half minutes already since Blaze left. Increasingly worried she prepares to dive herself too and eventually heads through the tunnel quickly, hoping to meet Blaze.
To her shock, she does meet Blaze but in less than ideal condition. While she might have been able to hold her breath for this long under normal circumstances, the impact of the rocks had costed her too much air. She was still pinned to the floor and drowned!

Amy is on the verge of giving up, not knowing how to save her friend but then her eyes fall onto the crystal. "It is supposed to have time related powers, right?", goes through her mind.
With a swift kick she reaches for the gem and focuses. Similarly to the magical rings they use, this gem also produces a portal - but one through time!
When Amy opens her eyes, she can see her teammate on the other side - still pinned to the ground but alive! It is the situation of just a minute ago. Blaze has both her paws clamped over her mouth, fighting to hold what little breath she has left in her lungs while her chest convulses in and out. The deep purple shade of her cheeks tell Amy that she has hardly any time left.
