The Duchy of Grand Fenwick tends to have a somewhat "Victorian" feel to it. They've also got a history of doing bizarre technical work, such as weather control, death rays, transmuters, and other "mad science" creations. Not that they work, mind you, but there's something about the world marvelously anachronistic. To their current Duke's dismay this extends to formal Ducal Court wear, meaning he's expected to traipse about looking like some egotistical megalomaniac. Fortunately for him his wife absolutely adores him dressed like that...
