There are different models of Gizmo's catbots that are each designed for specific situations.
The 20 series, like the two we see here, are actually just mousers that are stationed within the Administrative section of the facility. They patrol areas such as Gizmo's office, the Security Office, and other important rooms of administration. Although mice are usually the only intruders they handle, they are equipped with claws and beartrap-like jaws to attack with, and will likely do so in a coordinated pack-attack.
The Zero series and 10 series are less advanced than the 20 series, mainly because they're simply not as coordinated. They tend to work on their own, rather than in groups, and patrol the manufacturing parts of the facility. Despite not having the advanced AI of their 20 series counterparts, they do however share their same set of weapons.
The 30 series are just as advanced as the 20 series, but are equipped with more weapons. These other weapons include a tazer-tail attachment, and deployable hip-guns. They're mostly used as backup robots, only being deployed when the first line of security fails.
The 40 series patrol the underground railway which links Gizmo's facility to an abandoned mineshaft in the mountains, just outside the city. This tunnel is very important, as it allows Gizmo to export his machines discretely, therefore the 40 series are some of the most well equipped for dealing with any potential threats. They are equipped with sturdier claws that allow them to grip the tunnel walls, and scale along the ceiling. They are also equipped with hip-mounted guns, just like the 30 series, and have powerful flash-cannons mounted in their foreheads that allow them to blind opponents with a flashbang-like attack.
There are most likely other catbots that Giz has tucked away within his laboratory, but these are the only ones we know of, so far!

They don't swallow things they catch. When they contain something, they keep them trapped in their maws. The throats act as a sort of trap to collect any unwanted fluids in case the capture goes wrong and things get... messy. Think of it like a grease trap, but more morbid.
