A 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner, part of my model car collection
When the Chrysler people created a muscle car practically everyone could afford, they struck a deal with Warner Brothers to name the car after the fast cartoon bird. Not only did the character's image appear on several parts of the car, but commercials produced by animation legend Chuck Jones introduced the "factory hot rod" to the general public. Of course the main gimmick was the horn that imitated the bird's trademark "beep beep". This was caused by the horn's generator being wound with aluminum wires instead of copper.
While I was at it, I decided to include a roadrunner wood sculpture made by my late dad. He loved working with wood, and it showed in his handiwork.
Hope you like it!
