Leith thought for a moment, thinking of what games he had played with his friends while in the forest. In all honesty, he couldn’t really think of anything.
“We could draw in the dirt if you like?” Leith said. “I’ll admit, I’m quite a good artist with these treads of mine.”
“Yes, that’s perfect!” Jared said sharply. “Mark, you stay with Leith for now, and I’ll go and talk with Cade!”
Jared then turned around and drove over to Cade. Mark and Leith looked at each other awkwardly.
“So…” Mark said.
Leith twisted his tyres slightly, trying to think of something that could start a conversation. He then took out his front left tyre and drew a small circle with the tip of it.
“This is you being an artist?” Mark asked him.
“Well, what do you want me to draw?” Leith replied.
Mark looked at the circle on the ground and started thinking to himself. He then took out a finger and drew two circles within it.
“So, we’re drawing a person?” Leith asked Mark.
“You don’t know how to draw, do you?” Mark replied.
“Of course I do,” Leith said. “I’m…just thinking of…what to draw.”
The pair stared at the three circles longly. The interaction between them was becoming more and more awkward by the minute. Mark didn’t know what to say to Leith, and Leith didn’t know what to say back. After a bit, Leith drew a large body for the person.
“He looks big,” Mark said to Leith.
Leith in return couldn’t help but chuckle at his comment. “Well, must’ve eaten too much last night.” He said.
“Parents say you shouldn’t judge people solely by their appearances,” Mark said. “It’s quite rude.”
“Oh…” Leith said quietly.
