When I sketch, I start off extremely light (h4 pencil) and then either dive instantly into shading to not give outlines too much weight or I decide to make a "normal" sketch and use a mechanical pencil to line it.

I wonder if it's the fact that I cannot "smooth" things out like in digital. Now that I am doing so much pencil arts I wondered if I should draw my digital art with a more "messy" brush, too, at least in certain areas *thinks*
