Worth noting that, thematically, it also describes how I view the character Hecate from Helios / Stellar Groove: a lonely goddess who decided to imbue sapience on the universe. The poem and the story are otherwise unrelated.

beautiful...
Although, have you read the Nag Hammadi garden stories (On the Origin of the Species, etc.)? They present that Sophia ("the earthmother") sent both Eve and the serpent as allies to Adam so they he could gain the knowledge of the Achontic Demiurge (Ialdaboath, the gnostic equivalent to Yahweh, also referring to the hive of archons that swarm with him) was keeping from him, so that he could liberated from their imprisonment.
Sad and relative though. This little tune has thematic parallels, if you're at all interested...: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3359381
