The face is fine, it looks great really~ On top of that, the proportions are much better, the lines are more solid, the colors pop out much more, and the detailing is a big step up! Sure sure, it's a proper piece vs a sketch, but still yours has definitely more of an improvement to it that I whole-heartedly prefer ^^
