I don't know what you're thinking, but, rotaries have been around for decades now... There's nothing wrong with them, but, they are extremely picky motors that require a much greater deal of repair to keep running (as in a full engine rebuilt every 75-100K, based on Mazda's recommendation).
Did you know Rotary engines also use a quart of oil every thousand miles (might be 3K, don't remember) due to direct-oil combustion? They're like lawnmowers in the sense of is runs on a mixture. ^^;

Not bad but need to be lowered and should try to fit a BPT turbo engine :) (those from the 323 GTX japan)
Fitting a KLZE would unbalance the car too much... and they are not much reliable unless you do a hybrid between a klze and klde
(i had a mx-6 with a KLDE and well.... lots of problems and oil burning hehe)
