Do you have a dragon or gryphon among your friends? Any winged fellow which can offer you a ride on its back? Or maybe you even have feathery appendages of your own which you can use? Climb the highest mountain, take a big leap, and take a look at the beauty of the land from high above, on wings...

Thank you! Music is a wonderful way to tell stories, and my inspiration comes from picturing such scenery in my mind. If, even without a description provided from me, people can listen to it and find a matching story or picture on their own (which can differ from what I had in mind), it's already a huge compliment and very encouraging to me.
I don't know what to say about it. You do something amazing with these sounds. Yes, Your new orchestra works fine, but many artists have great sounding instruments / sounds and they don't know what to do with these possibilities. In Your music it can be heard that You perfectly do know what to do. In my opinion You are one of The Great here at FurAffinity.
Thanks a lot for Your music!

I'm still very excited about what I can do with those new sounds, and I don't think I've fully explored all the possibilities yet. Not to mention that I'm using a very small subset of what is available; and if I should ever find myself limited, I can still spend some money, and expand that.
The biggest difference with those newer pieces is that I don't have to limit myself to what sounds acceptable with the instruments I have. Many times, I had to discard certain parts and ideas, simply because there was no way I could make it sound like I wanted to, and even 'as close as I can get' was still too far away to have the effect I desired.

That's what this project looks like in FLStudio - but beware; huge image ahead.

O_O! I haven't figured out FL yet....I have the little demo version to try it out; I'm trying to find a good drum sequencer and someone suggested FL....I got nothin. That must have taken quite a while to piece together like that. Good job, again! I'm getting the feeling that you're going to win this month's contest XD
Awwr! For drums, I'd recommend going for Addictive Drums ( http://www.xlnaudio.com/ ); it's a VST which you can use in the DAW host of your choice, and with a piano roll, you should be happy in no time. Going for a specific DAW software just for drum sequencing is a strange approach; but I agree that FL is rather 'helpful' with its workflow for such things.
Regarding the contest: Thank you for your optimism, but I honestly wouldn't expect it. There are many wonderful musicians here, and after all, the people casting their votes might possibly favour the 'electronic' genres a bit more, which is fine, too. We'll see how this ends; it's still a long time until the deadline!

I am glad to have looked back and checked up on your work. i was inspired by your works yet again. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3922882/
WOW! This piece is so majestic!
I'm a composer myself, but I never had as much vision as this piece inspires.
I could easily hear this in something like Final Fantasy, or imagine a movie scene with flying creatures.
Easily, this piece could have been in Avatar when the main characters are flying around the sky mountains! Epic!
You are on my watch list as of NOW!

This is amazing. I really don't know what to say, it's gorgeous. I'm a sucker for orchestral pieces, they make me melt every time!
It's like... Ocarina of Time met How To Train Your Dragon, Went exploring in the final scene of Finding Neverland, then had a passionate love affair with John Williams.
This is awesome.

woah this is nice. Very good build there in the first minute. It opens into the vocal section well. too bad midi voices are wonky.
Very good use of the french horns. Very good way to outline a theme.
the bass drum rhythm underneath is good. Every song needs life blood and that drives it forward effectively
A stronger woodwind presence would help. But I'm always looking for flute or clarinet solos. Ooh I kinda got that near the end.
Could use a stronger ending. I'm thinking a unison rhythm ending in a gong hit.

I really do feel like I can fly right now. I have the fortune of not being near anything particularly tall that I can climb though. I never really understood why flight was such a great metaphor for inspiration and freedom. I did a creative writing competition once where I had to compose a 500 word story in 20 minutes working from a title. The one I chose was 'born with wings' for exactly that reason. The resulting short story about the childhood of a lonely Pegasus won third place.
