Given my disdain for Netflix's versions of Aggressive Retsuko, MST3K, and Neon Genesis Evangelion and my dislike of Beastars in all its forms, it probably comes off as surprising that I like (or think I'll like) BNA. Let me explain.
Firstly, BNA isn't Netflix exclusive like the AR or MST3K reboots, as it (like, oddly enough, Beastars), also airs on Fuji TV in Japan and therefore is at least somewhat free from Kelly Luegenbiehl's corruptive influence (though, if they do, indeed, make a second season (and I hope they do, as long as it doesn't turn into communist BS), it'll likely be out of Netflix's hypocritical desire for money). They do have Ben Diskin in the English dub though, so I'll probably watch with subs (at least there's no Vic Mignogna or Griffin Burns in there, thank whatever gods and/or goddesses may exist).
Secondly, it doesn't have the things I hate about similar anthro-centric animated works: It isn't visually dull and pretentious like Beastars (Just look at that neon! This is BEAUTIFUL! You and your 2000s-FPS-colored world of emo losers can SUCK IT, Itagaki!), it isn't communist BS like Netflix's AR reboot (sure, there's an evil corporation, but I see it more as being like Umbrella as more of a front for a movement trying to take over the world/commit genocide rather than a strawman for the creators to use to tell you "See?! This is what people and groups that try to make money are like! LITERALLY EAT THE RICH, KURU AND ALL THE OTHER NEGATIVE CONSEQUENCES OF MURDERING AND EATING PEOPLE BE DAMNED!"), and it doesn't restrict its anthropomorphism to only mammals like Zootopia or amniotes like Beastars and the Netflix AR reboot (I think, we've only seen mammals, a few birds, and a reptile, but unlike the former two, we never got any "oh, only X group of animals can be beastmen" (and no, your portraying sea creatures and terrestrial invertebrates as borderline racial stereotypes too primitive to form any sort of modern society doesn't count, Itagaki, and if you say it does, I'll start fitting you for cement shoes), though the fact that the series might be over might screw over our chances of seeing non-amniotes in the series, but there's always fan works; but even if it does continue, Nintendo's lawyers might put the kibosh on any cephalopod beastmen showing up).
Thirdly, Michiru and Marie are fucking ADORBS (especially when BBW-ized (by the way, where's all the art of these two sporting their species-characteristic plumpness? Tanuki are fat by nature, and minks (if I'm not mistaken) are semi-aquatic mammals (and thus would likely need a little blubber) that tend to live in cold climates (and thus would likely need fat for that), and yet almost all the R34 I see of them has them super-thin (which, as the series is super-new, I can understand, plus minks (which I might be wrong about on the amount of body fat they have) have sort of a lithe body shape, so I understand why there isn't as much art of Ms. Itami sporting extra chub)).
Anyway, here's part of my attempt at rectifying that lack of fat art of the two aforementioned characters, featuring a certain sassy minkette scientist (...She IS a scientist, right? She wears a labcoat and futuristic sunglasses, so...) with a fattened belly, plumped rump and thighs, and a pair of soft, heavy teats bloated with thick, creamy mustelid milk and dense, warm carnivoran pudge. Is she (given the date of my uploading this) plumping herself up for winter, her adipose-rich stoutness serving to both warm and nourish her during the colder months? Does Ms. Itami's insatiable greed extend to food as well as money, the snarky mink's depicted bulk the product of her hedonistically glutting herself into an ultra-beautiful state of combined steatopygia, potbelliedness, and bustiness? Is her newfound girth the result of her running some sort of scientific test on herself? Is she seeking sexual attention from lipophiliacs, and to that end has built up a succulent, luxurious layer of semiaquatic musteloid blubber, which, combined with her dense, equally luxurious steel-gray fur, has made her gloriously soft and warm? Have Marie's primal, predatory instincts kicked in, her meatiness stemming from numerous bouts of greedily filling her rapidly-distending belly with hapless sapient prey? Is her belly not only swollen with fat (and possibly also gas), but also a developing young mink, her obesity both shielding and feeding the contents of her womb? Has she already given birth, is now lactating, and the tundran weaseloidette's massive fat stores now siphon into her heavy, pillowy boobs, ensuring that whoever she's nursing suckles on only the richest, fattiest musteline MILF milk the motherly, thunder-thighed minkess's engorged, juicy bosom can produce? Is it some combination of the above? I'll leave the answer as an exercise for the viewers, this piece really drained my creative energy and I think this pudgy, slate-furred mustelid mama can help me restore it. Later, dudes, I'm gonna go suck on a fat mink chick's tiddies and sleep on her tum.

(Oh yeah, I was first introduced to BNA through fat art of Marie, so...)

Right? XD People are like "Ugh what are you talking about how can you not like Beastars? Bna is trash!"
And I'm like, bruh first of all people take Beastars way too seriously, its literally a generic High School Drama anime replaced with anthros. At least BNA does something interesting with its premise, and hey maybe it's me but not super into one of the main character's defining traits of "whore" lol
