One thing I've learned as a greymuzzle is that there's nothing that will get you through the rough patches of life better than a good friend and good mate, and if you're very lucky, you will find someone who is both. Gender just doesn't matter... empathy, caring, and heart are all that do. And that icon is full of it.

You know, growing up in a religious house, I used to think that gender was very important. To be honest, I never would have thought I would find myself in love with someone who shared my same gender. Clearly I was very close minded, because Mav changed all of that. He really helped me open my eyes and see how its not about who it is, but how you feel about them, and I love him, so to me nothing else matters. ^^

I'm cishet myself, so gender does make a difference to me, just 'cause of the way I am wired. What I do not ever do is judge others by that standard. If you two are happy together and good for one another, that's truly all that matters. *hugs a woof*
