So, today is Mother's Day. ^_^ And I started out today, wondering just what in the world I could do for my mom. Couldnt buy her anything, obviously, I'm broke. lol. So, drawing, which is what I'm best at, was my best option.
So then came the obstacle of choosing WHAT to draw her. My brother suggested something John Wayne. And I have to admit, doing something that would in some way commemorate my grandfather's memory did cross my mind.
However, it occurred to me that there's nothing more I can do to keep his memory always in my heart. Besides, today was about my mother and how I was going to show my appreciation for her. And the first thing that popped into my mind was a rose.
A rose is infinitely beautiful and represents everything that I see in my mom. I immediately set to work, trying different techniques and all in all trying to improve my style.
At some point I realized that this rose wasnt just going to be for the beautiful soul that I call my mother. But really it's for everyone that has the pride to call themselves a parent. Because it's through you that we learn the miracle of life. You guide us, helping us overcome our own obstacles and ground us to this earth.

So here's to you everyone and the wonderful couple who brought me here.
