I'm gonna post some of my school art here for critique. The pieces I post are pieces of an AP (Advanced Placement) portfolio I sent in for an AP Art test (for high school). These pieces are the make of the "breadth" section, which demonstrates your use of the medium in a technical and creative fashion. Please be nice in your critique, offer positive and negative feedback and add any suggestions that I could use to better my skills. These pieces will be scrapped in the future.

This is the first time, I think, that I've said anything about this...
I paint murals :> This is, granted, my very first one, finished last year. It was done for the science wing at our school and is definitely not perfect... I don't like the lettering and that apple was a bitch to paint, but other than that, it turned out well for weeks of work. My teacher let me use this for my portfolio, which I thought was awesome.
Some explanation of the symbol:
The globe at the top represents Earth science.
The DNA strand on the left represents Life science.
The "atom" (I love the sciences, by the way, the "atom" as we know it is no longer that model, but that's the best way we can visualize it) represents Chemistry.
The apple and poorly painted prism represents the Physical sciences.
